Last weekend for Saturday morning market

Published May 23, 2007

Downtown St. Petersburg's popular Saturday Morning Market comes to a close this weekend with the funky primal rhythms of the Urban Gypsies providing the background music.

The market has grown to more than 110 stalls dishing out everything from barbecue to backyard furniture from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Avenue and Second Street.

If you can stand the heat, a smaller sidewalk version of the market will open June 2 in front of Ferg's Sports Bar and Grill at Central Avenue and 13th Street.
