Over the next couple of weeks, the Times will offer a comprehensive report on each team and its progress during spring practice.

Coach: Rick Sanson (10th season)
2006 record: 0-11 (*forfeited nine wins for using home-schooled player)
Key losses: WR Tony Anderson
Key returners: RB Jared DiMaggio, QB Jared Stacy, WR/DB Tarvin Jones, LB Mike Curtiss, OL/DL Ethan Englebert
Spring skinny: The Crusaders' offseason commitment to the weight room paid off in an impressive, 23-21 victory over Class 5A Pinellas Park Thursday night. Keswick held its own at the line of scrimmage, which should make for another big year for DiMaggio. With Stacy returning under center and a multi-threat playmaker in Jones, the Crusaders should be a playoff contender. Curtiss, a junior-to-be, is an emerging force at linebacker, with sophomore DB Doug Sanson also showing a great nose for the ball.
Gamebreaker: Jones is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. As shown with his spectacular, one-handed interception against Pinellas Park, the sky is the limit for the speedy senior-to-be.
Key questions: Can the Crusaders firm up their pass coverage? Will the O-line hold up in district play?
