Ever wondered what "the most photographed home in Pinellas County" is worth? The sellers of the Cresent Place, the 1886 Victorian on Spring Bayou, say it should go for just shy of $2-million in its first debut on the market in 32 years. The home was built by Edward Knapp, a Kansas hardware magnate who convened the meeting to incorporate Tarpon Springs, the county's oldest city, in 1887. Teachers go back to school outdoors
Teachers can head back to the classroom this week to learn how to connect classroom concepts with the natural world. On Wednesday and Thursday at the Brooker Creek Preserve Education Center, a workshop will provide teachers with training and materials to design and lead their own field trips off the public trails and out of the exhibit hall. Help someone read at Dunedin Library
Looking for a chance to help someone read? The Literacy Council of Upper Pinellas will have a free tutor training workshop at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Community Room at the Dunedin Library, 223 Douglas Ave. Each potential tutor will learn the Laubach Method of Reading and receive books and other teaching materials. Coast Guard offers boating program
You don't have to own a boat to take this course. Dunedin Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 11-10 will begin its safe boating and seamanship program from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on the second floor of the Dunedin Marina Harbormaster building, 51 Main Street. Learn knots to navigation, boat handling, rules of the road and everything in between. The program meets Mondays and Wednesdays until June 27. Cost is $40 and includes all materials. Flick-n-Float at Southwest Pool
Flick-n-Float, Largo's family film night at Southwest Pool, offers its third movie, RV, on June 8. The pool opens at 7:30 p.m. with the movie starting around 9. Families with residents cards pay just $5 to use the pool; $6.25 for nonresidents. Pool floats and concessions are available. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
