Green Mamba to run
Doug Rose and his Green Mamba jet car will run June 9 at Citrus County Speedway. Rose, one of the greatest drag racers in the history of the sport, was supposed to perform last Saturday, but was cut short because of the 11 p.m. curfew. Fans got a chance to see him bring out his 40-year-old restored dragster for a few speed runs and after-burner blasts but that was it. Those in attendance Saturday were given free tickets to the June 9 show.
