KENNETH CITY

Homeowners to have season-ending meeting

The town of Kenneth City's Homeowners Association meets the second Tuesday of each month, with a break during the summer.

The group's June meeting will be its final get-together of the season; they will reconvene in September. A guest speaker will address the group about hearing loss and residents who attend will receive a giveaway.

KENNETH CITY

Celebrations of 50th and Fourth planned

Kenneth City is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and planning is under way for the town's July Fourth parade and festival.

Organizers say the popular event attracts thousands of residents each year. This year's theme is "Happy Birthday."

A bicycle decorating contest will be judged at the playground next to city hall at 8:45 a.m. on the day of the parade.

Planners are seeking businesses, community associations, marching bands and civic organizations to participate in the 1-mile parade.

Registration forms are available at City Hall at 6000 54th Ave. N. There are no fees to march in the parade, which starts at 9 a.m. at 62nd Street and 54th Avenue N.

Festival organizers also seek businesses and organizations willing to sponsor children's activities, including games and bounce houses.

PINELLAS PARK

Relay for Life teams invited to cookout

Members of the Pinellas Park Relay for Life teams are invited to participate in a mini-relay cookout sponsored by the American Cancer Society at Town Square Plaza Park today.

They've got stories just waiting to be shared

The Tampa Bay Storytellers Guild Story Swap meets the fourth Sunday of every month (except November and December) to share stories.

The public is invited to attend and share their stories.

Each program has a theme.
