Whatcha gonna do about iguanas?

Casselberry has its 4-foot menacing monitor lizard and Fort Lauderdale has its "feral iguanas." One resident was so fed up that she turned to the City Commission for help, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. The area's lush vegetation has produced a "super breed" of well-fed iguanas that are multiplying quickly and destroying properties, Denise Fox said. Mayor Jim Naugle told her that animal control is Broward County's bailiwick. "I don't know what the city itself could do, " he said, "have an iguana patrol or iguana officers?" The group did agree to write a letter to the county asking for enforcement.
