The cross country finals are staying put for 2007 and 2008, as the Florida High School Athletic Association announced Tuesday that Little Everglades Ranch will host the event again.
The finals have been held at Little Everglades Ranch in Dade City the past two years.
"We are happy to continue our relationship with Little Everglades Ranch, " said FHSAA commissioner John A. Stewart. "There is no more beautiful venue in the state for this event."
The state meet will be held on Nov. 17, and in 2008 on Nov. 22.
One of the strongest challengers to the Pasco County bid was that of a Hillsborough County group headed up by former Leto cross coach Bobby Ennis. But Ennis' group, which held the meet in Tampa's Ed Radice Sports Complex the four years before Little Everglades Ranch landed it in 2005, pulled out last month.
The other finalists included the Central Florida Sports Commission at the National Training Center in Clermont, the Lee County Sports Authority at Estero Community Park and Westminster Academy at Markham Park in western Broward County.
