Seminole avenges loss in the final
Seminole ace Jennie Sittloh tossed a no hitter en route to an 11-0, run-rule shortened victory against Gulfport/Southwest.

OSCEOLA - Gulfport Southwest outlasted Seminole 17-15 in a slugfest last week when the teams met for the first time in the District 5 junior softball Tournament of Champions.
Wednesday, however, was a different story.
Seminole sent 10 to the plate in the first inning and ace Jennie Sittloh tossed a no hitter en route to an 11-0, run-rule shortened victory against Gulfport/Southwest in the TOC final at Cross Bayou.
"Everybody hit the ball, up and down the lineup, " Seminole coach Mike Sittloh said. "And the defense was stellar behind Jennie."
Seminole collected 11 hits and put four runs on the board in each of the first two innings. Every Seminole hitter except two had at least one hit.
Brittani Craft and Sittloh (3-for-4, two doubles) picked up RBIs in the first, and Devin Sonnenschein drove in a pair with a sharp single later in the inning. Ashlee Kling added a two-run single in the fourth.
Sittloh took care of the rest in the circle. She struck out eight in five innings and allowed just one runner past second base.
Craft and Sonnenschein (three RBIs) had two hits each for Seminole.
SENIOR BASEBALL: Pinellas Park National/Cross Bayou hammered Northeast 11-0 to capture the TOC title at Cross Bayou on Tuesday. PPN/CB outscored opponents 37-6 in the tournament.
Starter Cody Mattull went the distance, striking out six. Mattull, Tyler Smith and Jacob Bellman each had two hits for PPN/CB.
