GIVE LAWMAKERS A PIECE OF YOUR MIND ON TAXES

If you want to vent your spleen about property tax reform proposals without traveling to Tallahassee to do it, this is your week. The Hillsborough County Legislative Delegation hosts a Tuesday meeting to hear from representatives of the county's four local governments, as well as Property Appraiser Rob Turner, about the effects of any proposed property tax cuts. Then it will take comments from the public. It's at 6 p.m. at the University Area Community Center Complex gymnasium, 14013 N 22nd St., Tampa.

In North Pinellas, state lawmakers are holding three meetings to gather input:

- 7 to 9 p.m. today, Oldsmar Council Chambers, 100 State St. W.

- 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Clearwater East Library, 2251 Drew St.

- 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Tarpon Springs Commission Chamber, 324 E Pine St.

CLEARWATER

Wrecking ball for stadium on agenda

The Clearwater City Council will discuss demolishing Jack Russell Stadium today during a 1:30 p.m. work session. The stadium is the former spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies and the site of a famously raucous Rolling Stones concert in 1965. After the cops shut down the concert, Keith Richards retired to the Jack Tar Harrison Hotel and wrote the opening guitar riff for (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction. The meeting is in council chambers at City Hall, 112 S Osceola Ave.
