Putnam endorses Thompson
By ADAM C. SMITH
Published June 6, 2007
Likely presidential candidate Fred Thompson has picked up the backing of Rep. Adam Putnam of Bartow, a key endorsement highlighting the volatility of the Republican contest in Florida. "He's the candidate best positioned to rally our base and attract young people, independents and particularly Reagan Democrats and win, " said Putnam, the third highest ranking Republican in the U.S. House. As a rising conservative star at 33, Putnam's endorsement is a reminder that the Republican contest looks wide open in Florida. While former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has attracted many of Jeb Bush's political advisers, Thompson landed one of the former governor's sons, George P. Bush, who has signed on to help Thompson from Texas, according to Politico.com.

You are not going to hear about Ron Paul until 5000 or so supporters begin regularly attending his campaign stops. He makes some great points and I think he adds an interesting twist to the process. Hold rallies and pay folks to come, give free beer!

When are we going to hear about Ron Paul? He wins the online polls, but the mainstream media ignore him. Why?

Now I am concerned that there is more to Thompson than is obvious. With a Bush getting involved I am more likely to look elsewhere. I am also concerned that Putnam is subject to going along with the BUSH influence on things like amnesty/guestworkers
