Walk, talk with police chief and city leaders

Join Largo police Chief Lester Aradi and city leaders on a Community Coffee Walk at 9 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Fourth Street NW and West Bay Drive. Get some exercise and discuss the city on the 3.5-mile walk through downtown Largo. Water stops will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own as well. Call 586-7427.

Felines and fun at SPCA Saturday

Adopt a feline friend and participate in ancient Egyptian practices from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Cleo-Cat-Ra event at the SPCA Tampa Bay, 9099 130th Ave N. There will be face painting, hieroglyphics, a mummy wrap game and an archeological dig area to search for treasures. Scuba divers, get in gear

Certified scuba divers craving competition can compete on a timed obstacle course from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Southwest Recreation Complex, 13120 Vonn Road. Divers 12 and older will be divided by age and must be junior open water or advance open water divers. Cost is $10, spectators are free. Call 518-3126.

Basketball camp for teens, tweens

Develop basketball skills with instruction from Largo High School coaches during basketball camp starting in July. Camps are open to boys and girls ages 8 to 13 and 10 to 17, depending on skill level. Half-day and full-day sessions are available. Call 518-3016.

Fireside drum circle for families

Listen and participate in the high-energy drumming of King James of the Sun Drummers from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Moccasin Lake Nature Park, 2750 Park Trail Lane. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the fireside drum circle and toast marshmallows and make s'mores. Cost is $5 for children 13 and older, $3 for children 3 to 12 and $1 for children under 2. The concert will be held indoors during inclement weather. Call 462-6024.

Superheroes on water skis

The Tampa Bay Water Ski Show Team will have its Super Heroes of Metropolis Bay Show at 6 p.m. Saturday at Tarpon Bayou, 515 Chesapeake Drive, Tarpon Springs.
