PPAL

The Pasco Police Athletic League is holding area-wide registration Sunday, with the first practices starting July 16.

The PPAL will have 11 leagues this year with the addition of the new Trinity league.

The jamboree is scheduled for Aug. 4 at Central High School, and the regular season begins Aug. 18 and concludes with the championships on Nov. 17.

Softball

Pasco-Hernando Community College will host a camp from 9 a.m.-noon June 11-14. The cost is $100 per player. Camp will cover all aspects of fastpitch softball. For more information, contact PHCC coach Tom Ryan at 727816-3361 or ryant@phcc.edu.

Bowling

Lane Glo Lanes North is hosting two summer kids camps. The first session begins at noon, the second at 6:30 p.m. Camps will run for 13 weeks and cost $13 per week, per child. Every kid will receive a custom-drilled bowling ball, bowling bag and three games a week. There will be an end-of-season party with awards. Camps are at Lane Glo North, 6935 Ridge Road, Port Richey. Multi-sports camp

Impact Training Sports Camp features tennis, golf, fitness and swimming. A half day is from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; a full day goes from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Register online at www.brentwellman.com.

Basketball

Pasco High girls coach John Edwards will hold the Edwards Basketball School of Champions from 8 a.m.-noon June 11-14 for boys and girls grades 5-9. The camp is $60 per week, which includes a T-shirt, and will be held at the Pasco High gym. Call Edwards at (813) 355-7860.

- Mitchell girls coach Stephanie Koslin will hold a camp for girls grades 4-9 from 8:30 a.m.-noon on June 25-28. Call Koslin at (727) 774-9200.

- Mitchell boys coach Larry Holden will hold a camp for boys in grades 3-12 from 9 a.m.-noon on June 18-22. The cost is $65 and includes a T-shirt for each camper. Call (727) 774-9200.

Cross Country

Runners interested in summer conditioning for Land O'Lakes cross country please contact coach Kris Keppel at (813) 996-2824. Workouts are evenings at 6:30 at various locations across Pasco County.

Baseball camps

Scott Hilgenberg will hold a camp June 11-14 and June 18-21 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Land O' Lakes Recreational Complex on Collier Parkway. The cost is $80, and $75 for the second child. Campers may attend both camps. T-shirts and drinks will be provided. Registration forms are due today for the first camp and June 15 for the second camp. - Pasco baseball will hold a camp for players ages 7-14 at the school's baseball field. There are two sessions: June 18-21 and June 25-28, both from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The cost is $60 per session, or $90 for both sessions, and includes a camp T-shirt and daily snacks and drinks. Call (813) 714-0404.

- River Ridge will hold its Knight Time Baseball Camp June 11-14 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the high school baseball field. The camp is open to all students in grades 6-9, and is $60, which includes a T-shirt. For more information, call (727) 774-7224.

- The Saint Leo baseball team will host its summer camps at Southard Stadium. There will be: youth camps (ages 8-14 June 11-14) and a high school camp (ages 15-18 from June 18-21). Golf tournaments

All active-duty military personnel can play 2-for-1 for $99 after noon through Sept. 30 at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club. - The Saint Leo men's and women's soccer teams will host their annual Saint Leo academy camp programs this summer beginning Monday. There will be a Residential & Team Camp (ages 10-18 from July 7-10); Goalkeeper Camp (ages 10-18 from July 7-10).
