BROOKSVILLE

First Baptist Church, 420 Howell Ave., is accepting free registrations for children entering first through sixth grades for vacation Bible school. The program will be from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. The theme is "Game Day Central." The church will host a free Bible school Family Fun Day with games, slides, a dunking booth, snow cones, hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. Call 796-6791. The church also announced that it has welcomed a new minister of education and youth, Brian Brijbag. Youth programs are at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and have Web sites at www.fireescapeyouth.com and www.myspace.com/fireescapeyouthministry.

Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 200 Mount Fair Ave., is accepting registrations for its seven-week summer program for children in second through eighth grades. The program, which begins Monday, runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through July. It combines recreation, fellowship and sports. The cost is $50 to $70 per week, and $10 for each sibling. SPRING HILL

United Church of Christ, 4244 Mariner Blvd., will open its gift shop from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. The shop will be open on the second Tuesday of each month. Call 686-9286.

First United Methodist Church, 9344 Spring Hill Drive, is hosting summer camp for children in first through fifth grades from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday through Aug. 17. There will be Bible lessons, singing, crafts, puppets, theme weeks, outdoor recreation and water days. Registration forms are available at the welcome center and in the church office. Call 683-2600.

WEEKI WACHEE

Nativity Lutheran Church, 6363 Commercial Way, is accepting registrations for vacation Bible school. The fee is $5 per child. The school runs from 9 a.m. until noon June 18 to 22 for ages 5 to 12. The theme, "Quest for Truth, " will provide an archaeological dig setting. Call 597-1456.

Christian Church in the Wildwood, 10051 Country Road, is accepting free registrations for vacation Bible school for children entering kindergarten through sixth grade. The program, "Game Day Central, " runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 596-1388, ext. 806.
