Teenage girls are invited to join the FitTEEN program at Ladies Workout Express, 35370 State Road 54 at the Shoppes of Lake Bernadette in Zephyrhills free through Sept. 1. Adults grieving over the sudden or anticipated death of a loved one are welcome to participate in one of Hernando-Pasco Hospice's (HPH) community-based eight-week Transition support groups. Led by bereavement counselors, these free groups are designed to help people better cope with their loss through small group and individual exercises. Transitions will be offered at 2 p.m. Wednesday and will continue each Wednesday through Aug. 8 at Florida Hospital of Zephyrhills, 7050 Gall Blvd. An evening group is available at 6 p.m. Thursday and continuing through Aug. 2 in the Community Center of Tampa Bay Golf and County Club, 11500 Old Tampa Bay Drive, San Antonio. Hernando-Pasco Hospice (HPH) will hold a two-part volunteer training from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at its Marliere Hospice Care Center, 681 Rowan Road, New Port Richey. Individuals are needed to help with office projects, to serve as interviewers and camera operators for the agency's Legacy Program, to assist with grocery shopping and meal preparation at the Hudson Hospice House or Marliere Hospice Care Center, to visit patients, to provide respite for families or along with their dog or to be a part of HPH's Compassionate Paws program. To register for the two-part training call Fred Blind, volunteer coordinator, at (727) 863-9522. Volunteers are also needed at the Hospice Thrift Shop and More, 6528 Massachusetts Ave., New Port Richey. An attorney will offer 30 minute consultation appointments through the service of Helping the Elderly with Legal Problems.
