As of this week, a tug-your-heartstrings exhibit featuring portraits and stories of adoptable foster children is at the Clearwater Main Library.

The Progress Energy Heart Gallery of Pinellas and Pasco will be at the library until Aug. 10.

It features pictures and biography cards with each kid's story, hopes and dreams.

Some portraits have phone wands that play recorded messages. Some kids tell their stories on the gallery's Web site, www.heartgallery pinellaspasco.org.

Many kids in the gallery are considered special needs adoptions.

That is because they may be older, are part of a sibling group, are a minority or have physical and/or mental health needs.
