BROOKSVILLE
Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 200 Mount Fair Ave., is accepting registrations for its seven-week summer program for children in second through eighth grades. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through July. It combines recreation, fellowship and sports. The cost is $50 to $70 per week, and $10 for each sibling. First Baptist Church, 420 Howell Ave., will celebrate the one-year anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. Matthew Ellis, in the Memorial Building after the 6 p.m. service July 1. Ellis moved with his wife, Kim, and their three young sons from Princeton, Ky., to become the church's pastor. Call 796-6791.
RIDGE MANOR
Ridge Manor Community United Methodist Church, 34350 Cortez Blvd., will host a Southern barbecue to benefit its youth and adult ministries at noon July 1. Tickets are $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children. Takeouts will be available.
The church also announced that Heather L. McCarty is its new youth ministry director. A language arts teacher at Eastside Elementary School, McCarty has received several nominations for Teacher of the Year, along with other awards for outstanding work with students. Call 583-3770.
SPRING HILL
Springs of Life Family Church, 19832 County Line Road, is hosting a free barbecue lunch after the dedication service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at its new location. The 4, 000-square-foot facility includes a nursery, classrooms, the Blessing Room for its food and clothing ministry, as well as the Berean Room that includes a library, teaching tape center and computer station with software for study of the Bible. The interdenominational church offers contemporary praise and worship, and its pastors are John and Sherral Grossi. Call 346-8139.
First United Methodist Church, 9344 Spring Hill Drive, is hosting summer camp for children in first through fifth grades from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday through Aug. 17. There are Bible lessons, singing, crafts, puppets, theme weeks, outdoor recreation and water days. Registration forms are available at the welcome center and in the church office. Call 683-2600.
WEEKI WACHEE
