TAMPA - The Tampa-Hillsborough Expressway Authority on Friday chose five finalists for the job of its executive director.
The toll road agency is seeking a replacement for its interim director, Stephen L. Reich. The authority's board members will interview the finalists on July 9 and 10 before choosing one. The public will be invited to a Monday-evening meet-and-greet with the finalists on July 9.
More than 30 candidates applied. The authority's board cut that down to a field of eight, then further whittled it down to five:
- Gregory Dailer, project director for engineering firm PBS&J.
- Kenneth Griffin, Hillsborough County assistant administrator of development and infrastructure.
- Stephen Knobbe, senior vice president, St. Louis Metro system.
- Robert Reardon, public works director, Wrentham, Mass.
- Joseph Waggoner, chief of planning and development, Maryland Transportation Authority.
