Hit-and-run kills bicyclist

RUSKIN - Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a man dead Sunday night. The man was riding a bicycle on Seventh Street SW at Castillo Road about 9 p.m. when he was hit by a white van, sheriff's spokesman J.D. Callaway said. The victim, who authorities described as in his mid 20s to early 30s, died at the scene, Callaway said. His name was not released pending notification of family. Callaway said investigators were trying to find the white van Sunday night.
