Area legislators and representatives from Citizens Property Insurance Corp. will host a public forum to discuss recent changes to homeowners insurance law as well as new optional sinkhole coverage. The meeting will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Spartan Manor, 6121 Massachusetts Ave. , New Port Richey. All area homeowners are invited to attend, as issues of interest to non-Citizens policyholders will be discussed as well. Citizens staffers also will be there to answer customers questions. Wednesday
Residents who worry about flooding and water flows now have a chance to tell the Southwest Florida Water Management District and Pasco County about it at a series of workshops. Developers and engineers are also welcome. The workshops, which start Wednesday, will contribute to floodplain management plans for 13 watersheds. For more information, call the water management district at (352)797-7211, ext. 4297, and visit www.watermatters.org/floodplain.
