Troubling news of the day After residents defeated a $3-million override, the Massachusetts town of Stoneham has been forced to wipe out the high school sports program, along with the arts and music programs. "I think a part of me would be gone. You know what I mean?" Dustin Feldman, a basketball player who will be a senior in the fall, told the Boston Globe. "If you get rid of all sports, what's going to happen to all this?" He wrote it Orlando Sentinel columnist David Whitley, writing about fans' complaints about athletes' salaries and ticket prices: "Stop buying $78 tickets, $319 Kobe Bryant throwback jerseys and $8 beers.
