Breakfast Buffet: The Men's Auxiliary VFW Post 10167 will serve a breakfast buffet 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday at the post, 4619 Bartelt Road in Holiday. Donation of $5 requested. Call (727) 938-5977.

Marathon Bingo: The Jewish Community Center of West Pasco will have a marathon bingo with games starting at noon Wednesday at 9841 Scenic Drive, Port Richey. Doors open at 10 a.m. Bingo packages include lunch. Call (727) 847-3814.

Cell Phones for Soldiers and the VFW Holiday Post 10167 have kicked off the "Yellow Ribbon" Drive in the area. Donate your unused cell phones to the collection drive now through Monday.

The goal is to collect more than 50, 000 cell phones to keep troops connected with their families. Local residents can support the drive by donating at the post, 4619 Bartelt Road in Holiday, seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. For information, call (727) 938-5977.

Celebrate Our Nation's 231st Anniversary: The VFW Holiday Post 10167, 4619 Bartelt Road, Holiday will hold services to remember the personal sacrifices of those in uniform at 11 a.m. Wednesday. If any American flags have become faded or torn, please bring them to the post for proper disposal. Call (727) 938-5977.

Suede in concert: The Bourbon Street Nightclub presents "Suede" as a benefit for the Friends of the New Port Richey Library on July 7 at 4331 U.S. 19, New Port Richey. Suede is a pop and jazz vocalist, a cross between Ella Fitzgerald and Bette Midler with a dash of Louis Armstrong.

For this event only, Bourbon Street will be smoke free. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Performance at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 at www.nprlibrary.org or by calling Ann at the library (727) 853-1265.

Fourth of July Get Together: The Larry Tawney Memorial VFW Post 4412, 13129 Colon Road, Hudson, will serve hamburgers and hot dogs from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday with Kerry's DJ Jam Session.
