Chamber recognizes top citizens

NEW PORT RICHEY The West Pasco Chamber of Commerce at its annual banquet Friday night recognized nine local citizens and organizations for their community service across the county. New Port Richey Realtor Greg Armstrong, who led an effort to get the county to purchase 1, 500 traffic barricades for local events and parades, won the Outstanding Citizen Award. Trinity Realtor Bob Memoli, who helped raise $20, 000 in cash and another $20, 000 in supplies to build a park in Tommytown, was named the Outstanding Community Service Award Winner. School board member Allen Altman of San Antonio won the outstanding public servant award. Junior Achievement of Pasco County won an Outstanding Area Youth Organization Award. Holiday Rotary Club was named Outstanding Service Club. Other winners included Cami Austin, Bonnie Howard, Dan Martino and Jamie Mick. Correction The Windmeal Inn restaurant in New Port Richey is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays and 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
