Gregory Strange, 20, of New Port Richey, the son of Geoffrey and Maureen Strange and a graduate of J.W. Mitchell High School, has been accepted to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach. He will be in the 2007 freshman class pursuing a degree in aeronautical science at the world's largest, fully-accredited university specializing in aviation and aerospace, which offers more than 30 degree programs in its colleges of Arts and Sciences, Aviation, Business and Engineering. Dr. Dan B. Maultsby, senior vice president and dean of Wofford College, announced that Charles Tutan Eller of Trinity has been named to the Dean's List for the 2007 spring semester. To be named to the list, a student must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours of graded courses and attain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Established in 1854, Wofford College is an independent liberal arts college in Spartanburg, S.C. It is in the top 30 percent of the U.S. News and World Report national rankings of 217 liberal arts colleges and has one of the nation's 276 Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society chapters. Volunteers for the Guardian Ad Litem Program recently completed 30 hours of training. They took their oaths June 6 and 7 before judges of the Sixth Judicial Circuit and are ready to serve as the voices of children in dependency proceedings.
