The mother of a 3-year-old found wandering alone on State Road 54 and reeking of urine Saturday morning is facing a charge of child neglect, according to a report from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
On Saturday, someone spotted Amber Lynn Hall's child, shirtless and dirty, walking down the busy road, the report said. The person called authorities. By the time authorities arrived, the child had been wandering for about 25 minutes, the report said.
About 30 minutes after the child was found, Hall arrived at 37039 S.R. 54, where her child was with authorities. She said she thought the child was in the yard.
A local business owner told authorities the child had been found wandering the streets on two previous occasions while Hall was sleeping.
Hall, 21, of 37101 S.R. 54 was being held at the Land O'Lakes jail Sunday in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Armed intruder grabs $8,000 from house
First, deputies say, Lewis J. Chancey burst into a house Friday afternoon and pointed a chrome revolver at a man's forehead.
Then, deputies say, he fired a round into the floor, grabbed $8,000 in cash from a table and fled.
After a witness identified Chancey in a photo lineup, a deputy arrested him Saturday at a house in Zephyrhills. It's unknown why the cash was on a table at the house on Chenkin Road.
Chancey, 18, of 10835 Old Lakeland Highway in Dade City is charged with home invasion and armed robbery. He was being held at the Land O'Lakes jail Sunday in lieu of $100,013 bail.
