Paris vows, Part 2
By TIMES WIRES
Published July 8, 2007
Tony Parker and Eva Longoria exchanged vows Saturday in a church across from the Louvre Museum in Paris, the second part of a weekend wedding extravaganza for the NBA champion and Desperate Housewives star.
First, Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe pronounced Parker, 25, and Longoria, 32, husband and wife in a civil ceremony Friday. Then a Roman Catholic priest married them Saturday afternoon at the Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois Church, followed by an exclusive bash at the storied Vaux-le-Vicomte chateau, 35 miles southeast of Paris, the Associated Press reported.
Longoria wore a silk wool and silk gazar scoop-back mermaid gown embroidered with silver metallic. The gown, which had a 5-foot-long train, was designed by Angel Sanchez, a spokeswoman for the designer said.
The bride and groom met after a Spurs game in November 2004. This is Longoria's second marriage and Parker's first.
It's a lawsuit!
A Croatian woman is suing ER star Goran Visnjic, claiming he's the father of her 4-month-old daughter and demanding a paternity test. Mirela Rupic, 36, filed the lawsuit after Visnjic, 34, refused to recognize the child as his, Rupic's attorney, Nenad Skare, told the Associated Press on Friday. Visnjic, who plays Dr. Luka Kovac on the long-running NBC series, has been married to Ivana Vrdoljak since 1999 and lives in Los Angeles.
Abdul: Out on top
The much maligned American Idol judge Paula Abdul told TV Guide she's no harebrained doofus strung out on pills, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. The star of the new reality show Hey Paula described overcoming more than one crisis, including an airplane crash, a car accident, a nasty divorce from Emilio Estevez and an eating disorder: "I have risen from the bowels of hell and come out tripping and singing and dancing."
