Air Force Airman Theresa A. Newbill has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

During six weeks of training, Newbill studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises and special training in human relations.

She is the daughter of Letitia and James Newbill of Largo and is a 2006 graduate of Largo High School.

Midshipman Keith Cameron Kollenbaum graduated in June from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y.

Kollenbaum received a Third Engineer merchant marine license, was commissioned as a U.S. Naval Reserve ensign and was awarded a bachelor of science degree in marine engineering.

The ensign, son of Keith and Theresa Kollenbaum of Tarpon Springs, had been nominated to the academy by U.S. Rep. Mike Bilirakis.

Kollenbaum is a 2003 graduate of Dunedin High School.
