Football
Wesley Chapel will host a meeting for all prospective football players at 7 p.m. on July 26 in the gymnasium. There will be important handout information pertaining to the season. Fees of $60 and athletic participation forms notary and physicals can be turned in at the beginning of the meeting. Forms also will be handed out at the meeting. All parents are encouraged to attend. Please bring a pen. A Nike bus will be on site selling cleats at a discount. Food and drink will be served after the meeting. For more information contact coach John Castelamare at (813) 794-8761.
- i9 Sports is accepting registrations for fall youth flag football leagues in Pasco County until Aug. 24. The early-bird registration fee is $89, which expires July 31. Leagues begin play Sept. 15. Games in West Pasco are played Saturday mornings. Games in East Pasco are Sunday afternoons. The program is for boys and girls of all skill levels, ages 5-12. Bowling
Lane Glo Lanes will host a North vs. South eight-game handicap singles bowling tournament open to Lane Glo league bowlers. The event happens July 29 and will feature four games at 9:30 a.m. at Lane Glo North, 6935 Ridge Road, and four at Lane Glo, 8631 Old County Road 54, at 12:30 p.m. The entry fee is $30, or $10 more for an added scratch division.
- Lane Glo North also will host a Single Scratch Shootout tournament at 10 a.m. Aug. 5. There is a shot at a $1,000 prize and the top five bowlers will advance to the shootout. Entry fee is $45.
- Lane Glo North still has openings for all its fall Sonic Monday Nite Classic Handicap League, which is offering $100,000 in prize money, based on 40 teams. Call Pete Graffagnino at Lane Glo North at (727) 848-2566 or check out www.laneglobowling.com.
Cheerleading

Wrestling
The Brooksville Bruisers Wrestling Camp will host its inaugural camp July 23-27 at Hernando High. Wrestlers from Pasco County are encouraged to attend. The camps runs daily from 8 a.m. to noon for children 10 and older. Children will receive a T-shirt and a daily lunch. Children will learn basic or advanced wrestling skills. The cost is $50. Basketball
Sunlake's girls basketball team is hosting open gym for girls entering Sunlake this fall. Seahawks coach Bob Kamps will hold open gym at Pineview Middle School on July 12, 17 and 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Multi-sports camp
Lake Jovita's Junior three-day golf and tennis camp begins July 17. It's open to children ages 6-18. PGA and USTA professionals will teach skills, rules and etiquette on Lake Jovita's courses and courts. The final segment of the day allows children a choice of venues including swimming or time at the community park with certified trainers and lifeguards on hand. The camps is open to the first 40 children to enroll. The cost is $300. For more information call (352) 588-2233.
