THONOTOSASSA LANDLORD HURT, RESIDENT KILLED IN STABBINGS A double stabbing at a mobile home park left a resident dead, her landlord critically injured and detectives trying to piece together what happened early Tuesday. Toynia Anne Aughtman, 41, was found about 1:22 a.m. outside her rented trailer within the Nature's Trail Mobile Home Park, located off Morris Bridge Road in northeastern Hillsborough County. She had been stabbed to death, authorities said. Steps away, the park's 34-year old co-owner, Jonathan Burns, was found between two pickup trucks parked outside his trailer at 12928 Chris Place, which also serves as the park's office. He was stabbed and seriously wounded, authorities said. Burns was taken to Tampa General Hospital for surgery. Investigators had not been able to interview him by Tuesday evening. Debbie Carter, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Office, said investigators do not yet know the motive for the stabbing, nor do they know who started the altercation. ST. PETERSBURG Cornerstone Bank robber is sought Detectives on Tuesday were looking for a man who they say robbed the Cornerstone Bank at 5800 38th Ave. N. The man walked into the bank at 12:36 p.m., gave the teller a note demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. He then got into an early 1990s white Dodge car with four doors. The suspect was described as a white man, mid 30s, between 5-feet-10 and 6-feet tall. He had short brown hair and wore a white New York Yankees baseball cap, white and blue plaid short sleeve shirt, dark shorts and black tennis shoes. Police later found the man's hat, which he had discarded. PINELLAS PARK Largo woman dies in motorcycle crash A Largo woman died Tuesday of injuries received when the motorcycle she was driving hit a car. The accident happened about 8:40 a.m. at the intersection of 49th Street and 62nd Avenue N, according to Pinellas Park police. The motorcycle, driven by Sherri Lee Linkous, 39, was traveling north on 49th when a southbound Toyota Corolla turned left in front of her. The motorcycle hit the car as it made the turn. Linkous of 1201 Seminole Blvd., No. 428, was taken to Bayfront Medical Center where she died. The driver of the Corolla, Margaret Ann Phillips, 75, of 9845 Lily St. in Pinellas Park was uninjured. No charges had been filed but the investigation is continuing. Day worker jailed in two robberies A day laborer was in jail Tuesday charged with two armed robberies that took place within five minutes of each other. Pinellas Park police say James Lee Ritter, 38, went into the 7-Eleven Store at 5151 Park Blvd. at 6:27 a.m. Tuesday armed with a knife and demanded money. He left with the money and three minutes later, police say, he went into the Storm Gas Station at 4890 Park Blvd. and demanded money while brandishing a knife. He fled on foot and was spotted by officers. Ritter was charged with two counts of armed robbery and violation of probation. Police say he is also a suspect in three other robberies that happened on Monday in the same general area of 49th Street and Park Boulevard.
