TARPON SPRINGS

Pinellas County sheriff's detectives are investigating the near-drowning of a Colorado girl at a Tarpon Springs residence Tuesday night. Police say Kylie Olson, 3, of Commerce City, Colo., was pulled from the bottom of a pool at a relative's home. The girl's mother, Kristen K. Olson, left the pool area for a few moments. When she returned, Kylie was at the bottom of the pool. Tracey Carter, a family friend who had never left the pool area, performed CPR until help arrived, officials said. The girl was taken to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg with life-threatening injuries. Her condition was unknown late Wednesday.
