Woman sought in girl's injuries turns herself in
The 3-year-old had a fractured skull and burn marks.

SPRING HILL - The woman accused of breaking the rib and fracturing the skull of a 3-year-old girl has turned herself in to authorities.
Angela Valenzano, 31, surrendered early Thursday morning at the Hernando County Jail, where she was being held without bail. She is charged with two counts of aggravated child abuse - accused of causing the girl great bodily harm and torturing her.
Authorities had been looking for Valenzano after her boyfriend, Daniel Marvulli, 29, turned himself in Wednesday and was charged with being an accessory after the fact to the abuse.
On July 10, authorities say, Valenzano dropped the child off at Spring Hill Regional Hospital, claiming she had fallen off a bunk bed. She then left the hospital.
A physician examined the girl and discovered significant injuries, including a broken rib, fractured skull, traumatic pancreatitis, circular burns on her feet that may have been caused by cigarettes, and bruises all over her body. The physician determined that the injuries could not have resulted from Valenzano's claim and said they indicated a pattern of abuse.
Shortly after Valenzano fled the hospital, Marvulli arrived, claiming he knew Valenzano only as Angie and that he had no idea what her phone number, address or last name might have been.
He acknowledged that Valenzano took care of the girl while he was at work, but said the only way he was able to contact her was to drive to her house on Meredith Drive.
He later admitted to authorities that she was his girlfriend, but said he didn't believe that Valenzano could have harmed the child.
The couple lived at 1299 Meredith Drive in Spring Hill. According to the sheriff's report, Marvulli took over custody of the 3-year-old several months ago, after her biological mother was incarcerated.
Marvulli has an extensive criminal history, according to his Florida Department of Law Enforcement record.
He has been arrested numerous times during the past 10 years on charges that include aggravated battery on a pregnant woman, possession of marijuana, fleeing law enforcement and a host of probation violations.
Valenzano was charged with perjury in 2001, but the case was dismissed in 2003.
Authorities said Thursday that the 3-year-old girl has been placed in protective custody of the state.

your brother deserves nothing. you have only met the family once so dont go on what your crazy family says. jessica arent you the one who always called david and said your glad he got out of that horrible town and away from the drugs and crimes done

i wonder if she had this happen to her daughter what would she do to that person who put as she puts it a hair line fracture on her head and on her rib. knowning that she calls people and lies to them makes me wonder what would jesus do to her

yes she did fled the hospital she was suppose to stay with that Child. my brother deserve the kids, but that woman is completey evil and selifsh doesnt want to reveal that she did this to this child. You should look at her own evil eyes.

Her 2 grew up in a safe and loving environment surrounded by family love even though Dad abandoned them over and over without even a goodbye EACH TIME. Dad is felon in 2 states, 4 counties, YET DCF is working hard to give him OUR kids that he left!?

lie from the Detective who is mad as hell for not getting these 2 arrests under his belt. Dad did NOT get custody mos. ago. Also, mom JUST went back to jail AGAIN after missing with daughter for several days!??

I know the family and can't believe the girlfriend could have done this. The mother is druggie and gay and now is back in jail agan. She took the girl for 4 days and disappeared - has anyone checked the real mother? Lets get the facts not lies!!

the story is fabricated. marvulli/valenzano just got the daughter back from mom 6 days prior w/ injuries. burns were blisters dont listen to papers, idiots

Her 2 kids ARE very protected in their own safe and loving home by mother and surrounding family. Things don't always seem as they appear and there are ALWAYS 2 sides to a story!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there are 3 other kids in the house and they have no abuse -checked by dcf.I am family and there are more people in this little girls life than them. she was with mom,they disappeared 4 2 days. mom went 2 jail again 10 days prior for violence on LEO

Being a caring mother that she is she brought her there to make sure she was ok after falling only to find out about the other injuries do you really think she would have done this and brought her to the hospital knowing she would look like a suspect

FYI - Marvulli is a licensed irrigation contractor - the owner of Absolute Sprinkler and Pump of 1299 Meredith Dr in Spring Hill. Do you really want him to come to your house?

I can't believe that anyone would hurt a child like that. With Marvulli's past, how can it be certain that the abuse was only done by Angie? I knew her as a child from a loving family; it's hard to believe that she could be capable of this.
