Report: Man stabs sister's boyfriend

NEW PORT RICHEY - A 40-year-old New Port Richey man was arrested late Saturday on charges of attacking his sister's boyfriend while their children watched. According to a Pasco Sheriff's Office report, Javier Rodriguez, 6252 Massachusetts Ave., stepped into the middle of an argument between his sister and the boyfriend. Their names were not released. Rodriguez twice slapped the man, who punched Rodriguez, the report said. Rodriguez grabbed a knife from the kitchen table, according to the report, but an 11-year-old pried it away. Rodriguez picked up another knife and went after the boyfriend, the report said. The boyfriend defended himself with an umbrella but was slashed. The siblings went to a neighbor's house. Deputies arrived soon after. The man's injuries were not life threatening.

Council offers help with Medicare

ST. PETERSBURG - Recognizing that diabetes and high blood pressure can ravage the heart and other organs, Medicare now pays for preventative screenings as a way to identify problems before they get serious. It's a rare jump into wellness for Medicare and not many people know about it. To spread the word, the National Council on Aging will host a forum in St. Petersburg on Wednesday about diabetes, hypertension and Medicare benefits. Medicare's "Mobile Office Tour Bus" will be on hand to help with free hypertension screening. The forum will be at the Enoch Davis Community Center, 1111 18th Avenue S, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Even a little column inch about Ms. Stanton and you guys(using multiple fake names to make it seem there are more of you)pop up. She's lost her job, home and family. How much more is needed? Do you need to see her head on a pike? Move on! Susan has!

Steve Stanton is a MAN, he can call himself whatever he wants but he is still a man, one that needs psychological help.He is also a VERY SELFISH man who never thought about his poor son when he decided to tell the world he wished he was a woman!SICKO

Oh no, please tell me we won't have to endure 10,00 articles about Steve Stanton again. By the way, you say, "... will talk about her journey...," which is an incorrect statement. Steve Stanton is a guy trying to act like a girl - really.

Aren't Susan's 10 minutes of fame just about up? How long can this freak milk the public attention? How long are we going to listen?

SHE will not be sharing her story HE will! It's sad the media is misrepresenting this man as a woman! Just because HE changed his name did not change his gender! Who's really interested in this anyway? Where's the compassion for his wife and child?

Will the circus reports on Stanton ever end? A vast majority of people disagree with his decision and the Times' decision to keep it in the forefront. ITS OLD NEWS!
