A 17-year-old is charged with battery after 3 girls spar over comments made on the site.

ZEPHYRHILLS - It began on MySpace.com. It ended with a 17-year-old girl facing felony charges.
The 17-year-old and two other girls got into a fight Tuesday night on Parker Street in Zephyrhills. They "had issues with one another over comments made on MySpace.com," according to the Zephyrhills police report.
Police wouldn't say what those comments were - but it took friends and family to break the battling girls apart.
The 17-year-old started swinging a box cutter, injuring three people involved in the scuffle. Pasco Fire Rescue treated the victims at the scene.
Police took the 17-year-old to Florida Hospital of Zephyrhills after she told police she was four months pregnant and had been kicked in the stomach.
She told police she hadn't meant to cut anyone, according to the report.
Zephyrhills police charged her with aggravated battery, a felony. After being medically cleared by the hospital, she was transferred to the juvenile assessment center in Land O'Lakes.
"She's fine and her baby's fine," said the girl's mother, Angela Bent. She said she didn't want to speak about her daughter or the incident until she met with her lawyer.
MySpace.com is a popular networking Web site where users can build and personalize their pages. They can post pictures and make comments on others' pages, too.
"MySpace is the downfall of society," said Zephyrhills Sgt. Rob Perrault.
He said he's seen too many fights among young people that began with comments made on MySpace.com. Kids can use the site to spread rumors or create phony sites.
"We have a lot of problems in middle and high school with kids posing as other kids, trying to start fights," said Perrault.

Come on Myspace? I graduated in 2001 before myspace and kids were fighting over he said she said. Can't blame my space for lack of discipline. Society needs to stop blaming myspace,tv, and video games. I point my fingers at the parents.

MySpace isn't the downfall of society, the lack of discipline (and I don't necessarily mean corporal) and respect is the downfall of society. We need to quit looking for someone/thing to blame for everything and place/accept responsibility where due
