Two Florida soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Two Florida soldiers died this week of wounds sustained in Afghanistan, the Defense Department has announced.

1st Sgt. Michael S. Curry Jr., 37, of Dania Beach was among four soldiers who died Monday in Afghanistan's Sarobi District when an improvised bomb detonated near their vehicle.

Pfc. Juan S. Restrepo, 20, of Pembroke Pines died Sunday in Korengal Valley when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms. Both were assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vicenza, Italy.
