Boys and girls club offers student care

SPRING HILL
The Boys &Girls Club of Hernando County will have orientation/registration night for its 2007-08 before- and after-school programs for youths ages 5 to 17 at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the club's gymnasium, 5404 Applegate Drive. Parents or guardian attendance at orientation/registration is mandatory. A nonrefundable registration fee of $25 per family is required when the registration form is submitted. Before-school program fees are $20 per week or $5 per day, per child. After-school program fees are $30 per week or $7.50 per day, per child. For both programs, the fees are $40 per week or $10 per day, per child. Busing is available from some schools. Call Terry or Yvonne at 666-0068.
Special Olympics bowling program
Special Olympics will begin its bowling program at 2 p.m. today at Spring Hill Lanes, 3447 Commercial Way. All athletes are asked to be in the lounge at 1:30 p.m. for a meeting and lane assignments. Those interested in participating either as an athlete, a volunteer or with coaching can call Frances Click at 597-5003.
Insurance company, officials plan forum
Citizens Property Insurance Corp. will co-sponsor an educational forum with state Sen. Mike Fasano and state Rep. Robert Schenck from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Palace Grand, 275 Della Court, off Commercial Way. The purpose of the forum is to discuss recent changes made during the regular and special sessions of the Florida Legislature, particularly those dealing with sinkhole coverage. Hernando High class reunion set
The Hernando High School classes of 1981 and 1982 will have a 25-year class reunion Friday and Saturday. On Friday, alumni will gather for a barbecue dinner at the Jerome Brown Community Center, 99 Jerome Brown Lane. The cost is $25. The HEART Adult Literacy Program needs volunteer tutors to teach adults reading, language and math skills.
