Hernando Area Boat Club: 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aripeka Community Club, 1393 Osowaw Blvd. The club was formed to promote safe boating through activities on the Gulf of Mexico, such as picnics, fishing, river cruises and lake tours.

Hernando County Team Hillary: This is a new group being formed in support of Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign. The first meeting will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the West Hernando/S.T. Members will vote on a local restaurant to dine at on the following Wednesday. Membership is open to anyone who has lived in Illinois at one time or another, as well as spouses. Annual dues are $12.
