Army National Guard 2nd Lt. Alibek James Dagly, son of Shamil and Norene Dagly of St. Petersburg, recently graduated from the Infantry Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Benning, Ga. He was an ROTC scholarship recipient and graduated from Saint Leo University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.

He graduated from the Air Assault School, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky., in 2004 and received the division's "Screaming Eagles Award" in 2006.

He is a 2002 graduate of St. Petersburg High School.

Navy Ensign Bradley W. Snyder, son of Valarie J. and Michael W. Snyder of St. Petersburg, recently completed the four-year officer development program and earned a bachelor of science degree at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. He is a 2002 graduate of Northeast High School.

These women have completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.:

Seaman Recruit Kelsey L. Raffaele, daughter of Cindy L. and Phil Steele of St. Petersburg and a 2006 graduate of Lakewood High School.

Seaman Recruit Ariel Y. Demps, daughter of Cynthia D. Williams and Theodore Q. Demps of St. Petersburg and a 2005 graduate of Osceola High School.
