Judge takes more time to consider Couey's mental state

INVERNESS
A Citrus County judge has postponed the formal sentencing of convicted sex offender John Couey until Aug. 24. Couey, 48, convicted in March of killing Jessica Lunsford, was scheduled to be sentenced next week on Friday, Aug. 10.
Circuit Judge Ric Howard delayed the sentencing to have more time to consider whether Couey is mentally retarded, as his defense attorneys assert. If found retarded, Couey would be ineligible for the death penalty, which a Miami jury recommended as punishment for kidnapping, raping and killing the 9-year-old Homosassa girl in 2005.

60 big-name retailers listed in mall's site plan
Since announcing in mid 2005 that JCPenney and Dillard's would be the anchors of the Shops at Wiregrass, the mall's developers have maintained a wall of secrecy about the rest of its lineup.
But now, a site plan filed at county offices by the developer's planners shows a cavalcade of 60 heavy-hitting brand names filling the mall's open-air layout.
They include a two-story Barnes & Noble bookstore, Apple, Victoria's Secret, J. Crew, Banana Republic, Pottery Barn and Starbucks.
Mall developers would not confirm the lineup Wednesday.
