DUNGY MEMOIR HEADED TO TOP OF BESTSELLER LIST
Tony Dungy is about to take the No. 1 spot on the New York Times' bestseller list. The Colts coach's memoir, Quiet Strength: The Principles, Practices, and Priorities of a Winning Life, on Sunday will claim the top spot for nonfiction hardcover, his publishing company said Wednesday. Tyndale House Publishers said it is the first NFL-related book ranked No. 1. Dungy, who coached the Bucs from 1996 to 2001, said the sales are "really hard for me to believe. It's gone way above and beyond what I expected, and I think part of it may be that people are tired of reading about negative stuff." Dungy said the publisher had only one concern. "They wanted to know where to put it," he said. "They weren't sure if it should go in the African-American section, the religion section or the sports section."

Not the best time for a water balloon
Indiana tight end Blake Powers apparently picked the wrong car to target with a water balloon. He was booked Monday night on a preliminary misdemeanor charge of battery after police said he admitted throwing a water balloon from one car into another, hitting an off-duty police officer. According to a police report, Powers, 22, admitted that while a car in which he was riding was stopped at a traffic signal, he tossed a water balloon into another car, striking the driver in the head. Paul Wampler, an Indiana University police officer who had just gotten off work, was in uniform in his personal vehicle. And here's the kicker: No alcohol was involved.
