Drug, crime prevention event
National Night Out activities will be at several locations on Tuesday.

The 24th annual National Night Out will be Tuesday, coordinated locally by the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
The purpose of the event is to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness. Participants include residents, law enforcement, businesses and neighborhood crime watch groups.
Activities are planned at the following locations:
- Forest Oaks Crime Watch, 6 to 8 p.m., 8125 Forest Villas Circle, Spring Hill
- Hernando Beach Crime Watch, 7:30 to 9 p.m., Forest Glenn Clubhouse, 1431 Friar Tuck Lane, Spring Hill
- SHARP Crime Watch, 4 to 9 p.m., at the old fire station at 1461 Parker Ave., Spring Hill
- Weeki Wachee Crime Watch, 6 to 8:30 p.m., 7383 Shoal Line Blvd.
- Deerfield Estates Crime Watch, 5 to 9 p.m., at the clubhouse off Candy Drive
- Wellington Crime Watch, 6 to 8 p.m. at the clubhouse, Wexford Avenue
- Timber Pines Crime Watch, 4:30 to 7 p.m., 6872 Timber Pines Blvd.
- Ridge Manor Area Crime Watch, 4 to 6 p.m., Ridge Manor Community Center, 34240 Cortez Blvd.
- Brookridge Crime Watch, 4 to 7 p.m. A golf cart parade led by the sheriff's DARE car will start at the clubhouse with a cookout to follow at 14989 Rialto Ave.
- Tangerine Estates Crime Watch, 7 to 8 p.m., to include a convoy through the neighborhood, starting at 16082 Lacanto Drive.
- Springwood Estates Crime Watch, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., 14972 Copeland Way
- Regency Oaks Crime Watch, 5:30 to 8 p.m., at the community center
- Pristine Place Crime Watch, 7 to 9 p.m., at the clubhouse
- Primrose Lane Crime Watch, 7 to 9 p.m., on Joshua Court at the cul-de-sac.
- High Point Mobile Patrol, 6 to 8 p.m., at the clubhouse
- Spring Haven Apartments, 7 to 9 p.m., with a walk starting at the clubhouse, followed by a potluck.
- Oakridge Estates, 4 to 8 p.m., cookout at corner of Stephanie and Tammy courts
- Tropics RV Park, 7 to 8 p.m., ice cream social at the clubhouse, off County Line Road.
- River Country, 5 to 7 p.m., hot dog cookout in the park (at Jomel and Delaware roads); bring a lawn chair and nonalcoholic beverages.
- Garden Grove, 6 to 8 p.m., covered-dish dinner at First Baptist Church of Garden Grove, 18131 Stromberg Ave.
