PALM HARBOR
Homeowner wakes up during burglary
Pinellas County sheriff's officials said Monday they are looking for a man who burglarized a home Saturday. A homeowner in the 700 block of Sandy Hook Road reported being awakened by a popping sound coming from a closet between 6:30 and 7 a.m. When the homeowner discovered a burglar behind the door, the man fled, said Pinellas County sheriff's Sgt. Jim Bordner. It is unclear how the man - who got away with some small electronics - got into the house, Bordner said. He is described as a 6-foot-4, 200-pound white man between 18 and 20 with long dark hair and sideburns. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Ken Sokolowski at (727) 582-6200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
SAN ANTONIO
3 escaped teens remain at large
Pasco deputies are searching for three teenagers who escaped Saturday from a holding facility, according to a report from the Sheriff's Office. Five teens, ranging in age from 13 to 16, escaped from the San Antonio Boys Village about 8:30 p.m. by running out of an emergency exit, jumping a cattle gate and darting into a field, the report said. Two of the teenagers have been captured. A 15-year-old was caught shortly after the escape by the facility's staff and the sheriff's canine unit, and a 13-year-old was arrested Monday at a Burger King, authorities said. The Times is withholding the names of all of the teens because of their ages. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the others was asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 1-800-706-2488.

Biker recovering from collision
A Clearwater man whose motorcycle collided with a car Sunday was listed in fair condition Monday at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Alan McCollister, 42, of N Jupiter Avenue was riding his 2006 Harley-Davidson south on Missouri Avenue just after noon when it was hit by a 2006 Mercury sedan driven by 73-year-old Nora Ives of Largo, police said. Ives had pulled out of a drugstore parking lot on the west side of the road and crossed all southbound lanes before crashing into McCollister on Missouri Avenue just south of Belleair Road, according to police. No charges have been filed, police said.
NEW PORT RICHEY
Hospital sued over patient's death
Tina Galanos' family filed a wrongful death lawsuit Friday against Community Hospital of New Port Richey and psychiatrists Amarjeet Dhillon and Raghu Devabhaktuni in Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Court. The suit alleges the hospital and doctors failed to screen Galanos' blood for the psychotropic drugs she was taking for mental illness when deputies brought her to the hospital in 2005 because she was suicidal, her family says. The medical examiner determined her cause of death three days later was multidrug toxicity, the suit says.
