Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Daniel R. Metcalf graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

During six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches; and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

Metcalf earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Jacqueline Lyons of Maryville, Tenn., and grandson of June Milot of Clearwater.

The airman is a 2004 graduate of Maryville High School.

Army SP4 Randall Judt of Largo recently joined the Army and will be stationed at Fort Polk, La.

An Army Reserve member since 2005, the soldier completed basic training at Fort Knox, Ky., and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, S.C.

The 22-year-old is the son of Robert and Judith Judt of Largo.

He is a 2003 graduate of Pinellas Park High School and a recent graduate of Stetson University in DeLand.
