The Pinellas School Board will hold a special workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, on the new student assignment plan. The board will discuss how the new plan will affect magnet and fundamental schools and high schools.

The meeting will be held in the conference hall at district headquarters, 301 Fourth St. SW, Largo. The public may attend, but, as with any board workshop, there will be no opportunity for public comment. The meeting also will be broadcast live on the web site for the district's television station, WPDS-TV, Ch. 14.

To view the workshop live, click on http://www.wpds.tv/, then click on the "Watch WPDS Online" link at the bottom left of the page. The workshop will be rebroadcast on Ch. 14 at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, and Thursday, Aug. 16.
