Southpinellas: Disabled teacher quits after date with porn star

MONESSEN, Pa. - A high school art teacher who went on a date with a porn star after winning a satellite radio contest has resigned.

Jaison Biagini traveled to St. Petersburg last month after winning the date on the Sirius satellite radio show Bubba the Love Sponge.

Biagini, who taught art for 14 years at Monessen High School, said he entered the contest because he wanted to win the free trip and visit the Salvador Dali museum in St. Petersburg. He described the date as being "all fake and staged."

Biagini, who uses a wheelchair, was interviewed on the radio show after returning home, and told the Valley Independent in Monessen that he was ridiculed for his disability.

Walter Cronkite has come a long way down, he has campaigned against windmill power because it wold ruin his beach views, wants them in poorer areas. I despise him, hack isn't a strong enough word.

There really must be more to this story, or at least I hope so. Did the parents run him out? Did the kids mention it in class and cause a distraction? Did the press bother him at school? Maybe he got a better job. Who knows?

There must be more to this story than reported. For a disabled art teacher to resign for going to the Dali museum accompanied by a porn actress (legal profession) is uncalled for. Bubba is the one who needs to resign for setting it up.

I agree with those on the writing here. This story has many holes and is too common with this site. I'll get my news elsewhere. It is a waste of time reading these type of stories written this way.

This is one of the most poorly written stories I've read in any paper in a very long time. Either that, or someone seriously screwed up with their editing mouse. This paper owes its readers and Mr. Biagini a rewrite on why he felt he had to resign.

This story does not make sense. He resigned why? No where in the story does it say he was forced to resign or by who. And who did the ridiculing? The school, newspaper, Bubba? The writer of this story needs to retake english comp.
