Its bad/lack of parenting. He had the potential to be a better person if and when somebody gave him the time of day and attention he needed. I knew him quite well when he was a teenager. It's a shame it all came down to this.

Phillips was a punk. The only silver lining to this whole situation is he is "serving his time" in the 9th circle of hell. May Sgt. Harrison rest in peace.

We are born in sin. Parents don't have to teach their chuldren to do wrong. It comes naturally. Parents have to teach their children to do RIGHT! The first six years of a childs life are the most important years. Lay a good foundation.

Just what would a person have to do to be put away for life? This does not reflect well on Florida. What has happened to common sense?

Curious, how many charges have been brought against you?? Obviously you have been in the system but probably not for any reason other than the cops were bored and had nothing better to do right??

Curious, you're an idiot. Everyone has a choice to do right or wrong. Even if some charges were "trumped up" by police still doesn't excuse his choice to somehow always be on the wrong side of the law over 20 times!

Curious,
I assume that the police have nothing better to do with their time than pick people at random to harass. Think next time you are in need of their assistance. They are probably too busy to respond to your aid.
Signed a US Army MP.

The judge who let this man back onto the streets should be removed from public service... should be no question about it.

A clear indicator that this man would be dangerous can be found in his history of Domestic Battery. According to Florida statute, the victim of dv, cannot waive prosecution. It's time society deals with dv as a crime not a family or social issue.

Curious..what are you on??? why would you assume that this murderer had trumped charges & that it's ALL EVERYONE elses fault! Kids aren't born criminals, but sometimes evolve into one. God bless the police officers who put their lives on the line!

From The Southeastern Headquarters for violence and lentient courts. Several years ago I received a traffic ticket, misdemeanor, and I am sure I went through more expense and BS than most people do for a felony crime. Why was this fool out, Judge???

Based on the arrest record presented here, Phillips made a concious choice, be brought to justice or have justice brought to him, he chose the latter! The Prob Violations alone are enough to rightfully designate him incorrigble and a recalcitrant!
