C.S. Bezas, author of Powerful Tips for Powerful Teachers, is the guest speaker at the East Lake Community Library Author's Showcase at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the library, 4125 East Lake Road, Palm Harbor. His program, "Working Through Writer's Block," is free, but reservations are required. Call (727) 773-2665.

Carolyn Hart, the creator of the series Death on Demand and Henrie O Collins, will be the featured speaker on Wednesday at the Largo Library, 120 Central Park Drive. The program begins with a meet and greet at 5:30 p.m., followed by a book talk at 7. The cost for the program, to benefit the Greater Largo Library Foundation, is $45; book talk only tickets are $10.
