EAST LAKE

Do you love children? Then the Kiwanis Club of Palm Harbor might be right up your alley. The group is looking for friendly new members, male or female, who are willing to work on service projects such as pancake breakfasts to raise classroom funds for local schools. The group especially needs teachers to serve as advisers in Kiwanis-sponsored school service clubs, such as high school Key Clubs, middle school Builders Clubs and elementary school K-Kids. The clubs teach children leadership, cooperation, community service and give them a sense of accomplishment. The club meets for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. every Tuesday. To learn more about Kiwanis, visit www.floridakiwanis.com or www.kiwanis.org. Call Carl Heifetz at (727) 375-9383.

Between shows, indoor and outdoor games and a children's book sale will be held. The event is free but advance tickets are required. Call (727) 453-6800.
