A place for kids to get creative after school

The Pasco County Parks and Recreation Department and Land O'Lakes Recreation Complex will offer an After School Children's Art Class for children ages 5-12 taught by certified art teacher Jill Hallauer.
Lessons will vary and will focus on the elements of art and the principles of design. Classes will begin Sept. 5 at the Land O'Lakes Recreation Complex, 3032 Collier Parkway in Land O'Lakes.
Ages 5 to 7 are from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and ages 8 to 12 are from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $36 for four weeks. Call (813) 929-1220.
Eat, dance, have fun the Hawaiian way
The Knights of Columbus Chapter 6476 will have Hawaiian Luau with entertainment beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2040 Grand Blvd., Holiday.
Dinner is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with entertainment at 7 p.m. Cost is $12 per person, and the best costume wins a prize. Call (727) 934-8025.
Every Friday night the Knights of Columbus has a dinner/dance at the hall in Holiday. Dinner is from 5 to 7 p.m. and dancing is from 7 to 10 p.m.

Zephyrhills lodge to host coin show
The Zephyrhills Coin Club will have a Coin Show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Eagles Lodge 3752 at 33710 State Road 54 East in Zephyrhills.
Admission will be free and there will be door prizes. Coins, tokens and paper money will be bought, sold and traded. Free appraisals and grading will be offered. Call Jim Marino at (727) 460-5274.
Officers to be installed at chamber banquet
