Kinney of Port Richey achieved All American status as a post commander. VFW Commander in Chief Gary Kurpius said, "Kinney, Commander of Post 7845, Port Richey, is one of only 95 VFW Post Commanders worldwide selected for this honor. The criteria are based on outstanding achievement in membership growth and participation in VFW programs that benefit veterans and their communities. This title is one of the most prestigious honors given by our organization." Kinney earned this honor for his leadership from July 1, 2006, to June 30, 2007.
