Senior menus / Meals on Wheels

Pasco County operates nine congregate dining sites that offer a nutritious meal and various program activities. There is no charge for these meals, but donations are requested. Additionally, Pasco County delivers meals to homes of frail elderly through two programs: The Elderly Nutrition Program meal is offered for a donation only. The Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and $5 per meal. Call to register. For information on any of these meal options or to volunteer, call (727) 834-3340 in west Pasco; (352) 521-5174 in east Pasco; or (813) 929-1231 in central Pasco.
Monday: Sliced turkey ham blend with raisin sauce, mashed sweet potatoes, seasoned lima beans, corn bread with margarine, mixed fruit and low-fat milk.
Tuesday: Spaghetti with meat sauce, broccoli cuts, tossed salad with Italian dressing, whole grain bread with margarine, diced peaches and low-fat milk.
Wednesday: Turkey divan casserole, green beans with red peppers, gingered carrots, whole wheat bread with margarine, lemon pudding and low-fat milk.
Thursday: Vegetable barley soup, lemon pepper chicken quarter, mashed potatoes au gratin, mixed vegetables, whole grain bread with margarine, apple spice cookie and low-fat milk.
Friday: Salisbury steak with brown gravy, whipped potatoes, California vegetable medley, whole grain bread with margarine, banana and low-fat milk.
