Daughters of the British Empire, the War of the Roses Chapter: 1 p.m. Saturday at a member's home. Spring Hill Book Discussion Group: 10 a.m. Aug. 28, Spring Hill Branch/Harold G. Zopp Memorial Library, 9220 Spring Hill Drive. The book to be discussed is The God of Small Things, by Arundhati Roy. The book tells the story of love and caste in a tiny river town in tropical southwest India. The novel won the Booker Prize in Britain in 1997. Copies are available at the library.
